It's a great game - get the unofficial patch
It's a "cult classic," a somewhat flawed "best of all times" RPG. There is a myriad of reviews online for it so do a search if you don't know what this game is about. I'll say It can be compared to deus ex, which I personally liked better, but ymmv.
Got the unofficial patch right away and installed the basic patch, which is generally recommended. My review is based on that.
Played through the game as a nosferatu character. Needed a little help from a walkthrough but just a few times, mostly my fault for not paying attention. The game crashed a couple of times when I used alt+tab, so if you do that, save the game. Nothing to complain about though, it worked just fine. There are some bugs like if you run into a door that leads to another area, you may get stuck and have to reload. just stay in place or move away from any door you open and it will be fine.
By the way, those who are ok with installing mods will have more content to explore.
