Dragon's Throne Scenario
An extra large Stand-Alone Scenario. Legend tells of dragons who ruled the fabled Sea of Flames at the dawn of time. However nobody has seen a True Dragon in living memory. Great RPG

Age of wonders 3 perfectly simulates that one-more-click feeling. As an action packed turn based RPG it easily keeps you on the edge of your seat. This sensation is strengthened by a beautiful fantasy world and enormous battles. We’ve been struck with a case of national pride.

A solid game but...

This is a solid game for the genre. It's only flaw is that I've played literally thousands of hours of games just like this, and there isn't anything that strikes me as fresh. It's mostly a new coat of paint, with a few design improvements, which is great! However, I'm finding that I'm not as excited as I thought I would be.

Good turn-based strategy with RPG elements

Combat can be hard and confusing, since you can see a squad lose its members but the remaining still deal the same full damage as a full squad. But if they survive the soldiers gain levels of their own and little bonus stats and abilities.
Graphics are pretty, particularly when a sorcerer player summons a lightning-black hole over an enemy city.
Finally, the game is still being developed and tweaked, and you get some of the tweaks even without having the expansions.

Age of wonder.. i Wonder

Well i was disapointed in this game, i thought it would be like civilisation.. it is a decent game, but hard to be new to it. i played it for 7 hours, but im not coming back to it. I didnt find my self satisfied in it.. And i think i used too muhch time to just learn to play. And the combat is a bit boring.. For me that is

Way better than recent HOMMs!

Barely a day into the game, I already love it! Rekindles the memories of the old days when I was playing masterpieces like HOMM Series, the old AOW Series, with updated graphics and most importantly, not a failure like HOMM V. I havent even got my hands on HOMM VI because of the horrible experience I had with HOMM V, which, in my biased opinion, a poor excuse of a game worthy of bearing HOMM in it's title. It seems my choice of this game instead of HOMM VI was indeed a right one. This doesn't seem like a great game, as already I feel like the game is missing some things I'd want to see, but the fundamentals are there and works fine without failing, and particularly the partial use of time units, or action points in battle is just great, adds depth. Although the city management part is somewhat unsatisfactory, with no easy to see hierarchy of what to build, it's still passable. With some flaws, but a gem nonetheless.
