עלילה
המשחק הוא משחק פעולהאיימה מגוף שלישי אשר שמה אותנו בנעליו של סופר מפורסם עם מחסום כתיבה בשם אלן וויק , אשר מגיע לחופשה עם אישתו בעיירה קטנה ושקטה בשם BRIGHT FALLS כדי להתגבר על מחסום הכתיבה שלו.

אבל פתאום דברים מוזרים מתחילים לקרות, אישתו נחטפת, אנשים בעיירה נעלמים פתאום, ויצורים אפלים רודפים אחריו ומנסים להרוג אותו, שום דבר לא ברור אם מה שהוא ראה זה מציאות או חלום, מה שהוא יודע זה שהוא מוצא דפים כתובים בכתב ידו שהוא לא זוכר שהוא כתב אותם בכלל, אבל מה שהכי מוזר זה שמה שהוא כתב בדפים האלה פתאום מתגשמים לפני עניו והוא מנסה בעזרתם למצוא את אישתו אליס

המשחק מחולק לפרקים ממש כמו סידרת טלוויזיה ולפני כל פרק יש תקציר כמו בסדרות אשר מראה מה קרה בפרק הקודם, כמו כן יצאו כל מיני DLC למנהם אשר ימשיכו או ירחיבו את העלילה והם יבואו בתור פרקים חדשים.

גיימפלי
הגיימפלי במשחק הוא מאוד בסיסי כמו רוב משחקי הגוף השלישי, יש לכם נשק ופנס וכדי לפגוע באוייבים שלכם עם הנשק עלכם קודם להאיר עלהם עם הפנס או פשוט לחסל כמות של אוייבים עם פצצת תאורה, כמו כן יש כל מיני תנועות התחמקות כדי להתחמק ממתקפות של האוייבים, אבל עלכם להגיב במהירות לפני ההתקפה כדי להתחמק, כמו כן תצפו לכל מיני טוויסטים שונים בגיימפלי ואינטרקציה עם הסביבה.
